I haven’t used Copic Markers but I had Prismacolor Markers (the big set because I needed them for drawing classes) and 20+ years later, I still have a bunch that are still usable. That said, I am interested in getting a smaller set of Copic markers because I’ve spent too much time in the digital space of design. I need to go back to traditional. Ready to get my hands dirty!

as someone who's tried a bunch of alcohol markers and has been using them for years; Ohuhu if you're just starting out, I still prefer Copic. Ohuhu has a wide selection of colors and is cheaper, they starting to pop up basically everywhere and unlike when they first popped up on the market you can now buy single replacement markers, replacement nibs, and replacement ink. Yes, this is a big deal. The only thing I don't like about Ohuhu is the nibs are too stiff for my personal liking. They make a more premium brand now which that isn't the case but I haven't gotten to use them so 🤷♂️Copic is more expensive, is still considered the gold standard for a reason, I think has more saturated colors, and has a more flexible nib which I prefer. The only downside with Copic is if you buy the sketch markers (shown in video) there is a chance that a small crack can appear in the cap ruining your maker and you will just have to get a new one. This has happened to a few of mine and it's a bummer. Doesn't happen with the ciao but those have less ink

YESS! I recommend copics and prisma colors! Most of my art uses both! I feel like the popularity of copic markers have gone down over the years I hope I can encourage others to use them again :)

Yes on Stratmoore 400+ paper! I do a lot of math calculations by hand and the way that my pencil just glides on that paper makes it so easy to think.

my all time favorite sketchbook is the Bee Paper Company Jumbo Artist Pad, it's like mixed media paper and 120 pages, not professional but amazing for sketching, markers, etc, but you can only find it online second hand now, walmart was the only place I could get it, so I bought a 3 pack from a seller to have for years and years :'D

what's RIGHT below Copic? they took over 2 months to send me a package that was supposed to take 2 weeks (and would not respond to repeated inquiries about it), and while i can just buy them from a neighbor's art store, i don't want to support a brand like that. i can ask her to order a different brand for me that's less expensive & morally shit yk
