The Complex(backrooms canon name) tries to remember a person, it often exaggerates traits to get an idea of said person. Because of this, the Complex exaggerated Clark’s bad traits which serves the story as a representation of his worst. Pirate Clark is drunk because the Complex saw a drunk Clark and thought it was important to make Pirate Clark act drunk.

Still lifes are creations based off of memories of things near by the backrooms, right? Clark is literally seen being drunk and drinking while inside the furniture store. Therefore, it's entirely possible that the backrooms "remembered" that, and that became an aspect of his still life. Stumbling around drunkenly.

it's kinda like a interpreting thing, in the movie captain Clark is a representation of Clark's emotions more then him being drunk, its kinda the whole reason why he attacked Clark. after Mary confronted him about his issues Clark blamed himself just as he blamed everyone else, which is why Clark attacked him, as we established the still lifes and the backrooms are formed out of memories so it would make sense to assume this
