As a leftist, I started and ran a nonprofit FOR FREE for 5 years. I've done a ton of volunteer work. I bought land that I could optimize for profit, but am focusing on conservation for the majority of it at my expense. Both sides work hard, one is just obnoxiously selfish about it.
