I spent 18 years in multiple narcissistic relationships where they weren’t patient, kind, they were very jealous, boastful, rouse rude, self seeking. Always key records of wrongs. Delighted in my suffering and hated the truth. The only thing it conquered, protects and persevered was their own ego. I used to begged God for answers that seemed to just never come. In fact it seemed the more I prayed the worst it got. I couldn’t see past my own nose. All of the doors God shut weren’t to harm me. His rejection was actually redirection. The best part? Through all of that he never left my side. He knew. He knew who he had prepared for me since before I was born. I realized the more I tried to control my life the more out of control my life got. Ever since then every little thing has just made sense as to why things never worked out. But why did it always get worse the more I prayed? God isn’t the author of fear, pain or destruction. He is the offer of peace, love and kindness. I realized he WAS answering my prayers but gave me a choice. He allowed those relationships to get so bad that I had no choice but to leave. Because he knew what he had created for me. A love that is patient, kind, isn’t jealous, isn’t proud or rude or self seeking. Never keeps records of wrongs. Hates my suffering and delights in the truths.
