Ortho RN, sounds like not likely due to the hip but maybe your upper body is responding to using muscles more and your gi system is upset from all the anesthesia and meds

Gall stones and hip surgery I see together. I had hip surgery and then 3 months later my gall bladder was taken out. Come to find out it's not uncommon.

I am not a doctor but maybe you have tweaked / pinched a nerve or two by trying to accommodate your recovery and walking. You also might be sleeping in a funky position to keep your hip comfortable. I have no clue though but that’s all I could come up with that wasn’t bad like a blood clot. They would have looked for that though I’m sure. Good luck!

i work in physical therapy, hip replacements are one of the most fast recovery surgeries. back pain is normal BUT not excruciating. the arm pain could be the remaining of the medicines that they had given you while you were under or possible clot. most get put on blood thinners before surgery but blood clots can still happen but glad you trusted your gut and got checked out! better to be safe then sorry!

As crazy as this sounds…it maybe gas pain post anesthesia. It can be WILD!! It may not be, but I hope it’s something that simple for you!!

After minor surgery in my knee I had a deep vein thrombosis in my calf that broke off and gave both lungs pulmonary embolism. Please be careful
