I would never give bland, boring, small portions, to someone I love. I would genuinely feel sooo bad putting that kind of food in front of someone and say “here, enjoy your meal,” it would feel cruel. So why was I doing it to myself every single day? The restriction, the fat free everything, the tiny portions, the “I don’t deserve the real version” mentality, where did that even come from?? I promise you, you deserve to eat!! Full portions, real ingredients, food that tastes good and makes you feel something other than guilty. You wouldn’t tell your best friend to skip the cheese. You wouldn’t tell her to get the diet version. You’d want her to enjoy it because you LOVE her!! This also isn’t me saying throw your goals out the window. This is me saying you can lose weight AND enjoy your food, and that’s the only way it actually works long term! So start treating yourself like someone you love. Make the meal, add the toppings, and eat the real thing. You deserve that!
