@craftheritage: Bamboo-Bone Mahjong Tiles are a classic traditional Chinese handmade craft and the most orthodox antique version of mahjong components. Born out of the leisure culture of ancient gentry and literati, they embody the life aesthetics and social customs of old China. This set of tiles adopts ox leg bone and premium Nan bamboo as dual core materials. The bones go through long-term boiling, alkali cleaning and half-year natural degreasing to avoid grease oozing and decay. After precise mortise-and-tenon splicing of bone and bamboo, the tiles are hand-carved, painted and finely polished piece by piece. The bone layer ensures wear resistance and clear engraving, while bamboo brings lightweight texture and stable structure. Far more than a gaming tool, bamboo-bone mahjong records the folk entertainment culture and exquisite handiwork of late imperial China. It condenses the meticulous ingenuity of traditional small-scale wood and bone carving crafts, carrying the leisurely oriental life philosophy, and serving as a precious cultural carrier of Chinese traditional folk custom and handicraft inheritance. #handmade #ancientchina #crafttok #countrylife #craft
