No offense to you… But every time I look back on those backstabbing friends… There were always signs. EXAMPLE: They would lie to people to get their way, they’d gossiped/ talked crap( and they didn’t think it was bad because they were being playful/funny😬 about it ) , they would be highly reactive and unreasonable when they were jealous/ insecure. They needed other people to emotionally regulate at their grown age. They were obsessed with image and being seen as a good person/cool person/bad bitch. Even if they weren’t that. The signs are always there. It’s just your choice whether you want to ignore them or actually do something about it.
