@cecilia_bythesea: The Ropes Mansion is one of Salem’s most iconic locations, while also being one of the most tragic. The house is said to be haunted by Judge Nathaniel Ropes and his relative Abigail Ropes. A 20 room fire is said to be caused by their curse. Apparently you can see Abigail through photos while visiting the property. I haven’t seen her yet- have you? We went on a haunted tour and the one couple had a dog. It was fine the entire time and then it flat out REFUSED to walk into this garden when we got to this part of the tour. The guy had to carry the dog because it wouldn’t step foot into the garden. It was creepy

I went on a girls trip to Salem 2 Halloweens ago, & I walked through the garden, but the energy was off.

I took the haunted tour at night when I was 14, and I turned to the person next to me and said they put on a great tour including the people in costume waving to us…. And she told me there was nobody in the window waving to us. I consulted the tour guide and she told me she doesn’t go in there at night, but only certain people will see the woman I described to her.

This reminds me of my aunts house it was originally a farm in during the Salem trials. And she said when she first moved in things would go off, like alarms at 12 am, hair dryers, vacuums, once I swear I saw someone in the attic while me and my dad were sleeping up there. All I know that she had curly hair and she was blue-ish

My son saw someone in an upstairs window when we were there at night for a ghost tour. He didnt want to interrupt the tour guide and say anything. A minute later, the tour guide told a story how many people see a person looking out a window. That same window my son was talking about. I had no idea how haunted it was!

The first night I visited Salem a few years ago I stood in front of this house to get a picture and it was 1 AM and every time my friend would take the picture I would disappear in the picture and there was a bunch of misty stuff around me. We found out a couple days later during the ghost tour that It’s one of the most haunted spots there. I was creeped out
