Her parents were the reason she’s dead. She was diagnosed by physicians with epilepsy and epileptic psychosis and instead of allowing her to get treatment and take medication they said she was possessed.

as a psych resident, this story makes me so sad. i’ve seen patients have the same behaviors as hers. she was most likely in a catatonic state, which is manageable with proper treatment

i’m a psychology student, when watching this, i wasn’t afraid at all, i felt sad for her. there is nothing scary or paranormal about her, she was suffering from mental illness. i genuinely feel compassion for her, those cries during the exorcism were clearly signs of her crying for help. seizures can completely rewire your brain and even change brain chemistry, affecting brain structure and neural pathways. from what i have studied and what i believe, those epileptic seizures led to her becoming a schizophrenic, and someone who is schizophrenic must take anti-psychotic drugs in order to maintain their functioning and psychosis. unfortunately, this poor woman wasn’t given any grace nor any treatment, her parents should have never removed her under the doctors care. however, learning from this case i encourage whoever is reading this, to have compassion for those who struggle mentally in conventional ways, such as those who behave very differently. they are going through a lot inside and with understanding and compassion, they can heal. they are just as human as us.
