I was a gifted kid, smart in school and burnt out senior year once I got to hs and realized I wasn't a genius I was just smarter than other kids at the time, when they caught up and I haven't grown it crushed me. I went from factory to grocery store to restaurant only getting dumber while my parents still think I'm gonna go to college and become a teacher when I'm dumber than I was at 16 and am already defeated. it sucks being crushed by expectations and life itself
