the cougar knew she was free...she slow blinked like crazy after that trap came off 🥹 she was communicating they were ok to her...the airplane ears says she was still annoyed by the situation but that slowly changed. she obviously laid there to relax some of the adrenaline, plus the pain was probably a LOT...poor momma

I used to work in the education center of a zoo that had cougars. She put her children at risk by having them there. I'm glad she freed the cougar but this could have been deadly and there is ZERO reason children should have been there with a wild animal in a severe amount of pain. I cannot express how incredibly IRRESPONSIBLE it was to have children there. If the cougar had attacked or 💀 her children, it would be hunted down by fish & wildlife -- & euthanized.

the poor cougar.. these traps are vile & should be illegal period! The cougar knew its foot was free I'm sure it could feel something different with the pressure and pain it was feeling with the trap on it.. it was probably absorbing that release of the pain.. True story for me, a trap, a wolf pup.. in the 70s, my mom's BF, friend, went to Canada I think it was by Alaska.. an Alaskan wolf pup had its front paw in a trap.. it's momma was killed already by whoever set the trap.. they got the pup out of trap & his paw was so deformed, 2 toes almost amputated by trap.. he couldn't walk. They brought wolf back home with them in CA, they gave it to me.. I named him Spike because of his paw.. I had him for almost 3yrs, before he was shot one day by some idiot who seen Spike walking in our field.. Spike used to walk with me down the long driveway to the bus stop and wait with me.. he'd be there waiting again by the time I got back home from school and walk me home.. He was HUGE.. his paws were damn near the size of my head.. he was a great babysitter for me to, never left my side. 🥰
