Walking down the hall trying to find my class first day at a new school all i hear “ bitch you think you’re cute cause you like skin? I’ll beat tf out of you.” Like what?! …. One day the whole class was talking. I’m super quiet sitting in the back of the class I guess a girl’s boyfriend said he thought I was cute or something. The girlfriend decides she’s going to take the teacher’s glass paper weight and throw it at my head. I literally could’ve died. Was bleeding, she was Throwing chairs across the room at me it took four dudes to restrain her. All while calling me all type of white Btches and mutts. i Didn’t even know them mfs, wasn’t even in the conversation they was having. Any time I’m chilling minding my business. It’s always one dark skin girl who will say…as if to give me a compliment….” I thought you was going to be a btch for real because you’re a light skin, but you’re actually cool af.” Like what?. my cousin once told me I make the whole family look bad because they all are black and I’m the only one white. Mind you I’m not white. My mom is Puerto Rican. Lets not get into the fetishizing and sexualization from some black men trying to exercise their self hate through me. Girls saying I have good hair, while literally having the same exact hair texture as me. I’m literally the one who always has to point that out. My husband and I was in the store one time shopping and a dark skin girl came into the store and saw us and said “ ughh i hate seeing black man with white btches.” Mind you my man is not the type of person who date someone base on skintone he was vetted cause i hate that shid. Anytime I’m in a all black space in my 31 years. It never fails that one person will bring up my skin tone to poke fun of or tell me im not black. It is some black folks that will perpetuate colorism while claiming they do not participate in it.
