Also we have to address the childhood attachment that did not happen, a child who did not have a safe and secure emotional attachment in childhood will have attachment issues as an adult resulting in exactly what you are explaining. Dating is just building a bond… and if as a child we didn’t learn how to have a safe and healthy relationship and are in denial, we focus on the person all the time. It’s sad , here in the us Independence is promoted like it’s the coolest thing when in reality the us is creating unstable people who just work and want to find the “one”. Your way of explaining this was beautifully said 💙
