Just rescued a house sparrow not too long ago, only had him two nights and then he was strong enough to go join the ones in my yard! This guy looks too little to eat cat food like fledglings can, so he will need an actual formula I think - definitely contact a nearby bird rescue asap!

Sad Update unfortunately birdie did pass away 🥺 thank you for everyone who gave advice . I knew we gave it a few more days of life than it would’ve left on the ground.

Ya gotta take it to a rehabber asap! Don’t try to feed it or water it, just keep it safe and warm until you can find a rehabber

Maybe you could ask in a rescue center or a wildlife rescue Facebook group with rehabbers for the Bird?🙏feeding them sadly isn’t easy,since they very easily aspirate and choke on food/water when hand fed without instructions😢but a rehabber can surely help/at least give advice!
