@alyssagoldwater: The link to donate is in my bio. I’m honored to partner with @Jewish fertility support on their campaign each year. Thank you for giving me and so many others words to validate our pain. And thank you all for your support. 🫶🏻 #infertilityawareness #circumstantialinfertility #infertilityjourney #fertilitysupport #jewishfamily (IWSTHAB partner)
I just want to say that secondary infertility is real, and it can be just as heartbreaking. When you’ve always imagined a family with many children—or simply a different path than the one you’re living—it is completely understandable to grieve that loss.
Your grief doesn’t mean you’re ungrateful for the child or children you already have. Both things can exist at the same time. You can be deeply grateful and still mourn the family you hoped for. Those feelings don’t cancel each other out.
This is your experience, and your pain deserves compassion, not comparison.
I just wanted to send you the biggest hug and let you know you’re not alone. I’m standing in solidarity with you, because this kind of heartbreak is real—and I truly get it. 🤍

Growing up I always worked with children in lots of capacities and I always envisioned having 2 or more children...fast forward to 32 my daughter was born out of a very severe domestic violence situation that I escaped from when she was 3 months old. I wanted more children but never wanted more than one father for my children so I had a lonely only that I focused all my resources on...she's 22 now and an amazing super well adjusted person but sometimes I still cry secretly for the children I should have had...thats my story 🤷♀️Blessed be to all the rest of your stories and journeys ✌️💜

I have no children. This was not the plan. But infertility causes the same amount of pain, heartbreak, and loneliness no matter when it comes in your life. That account has reminded me that I am not alone; even when I’m in a room with mothers.

I always wanted at least two to three. I went into heart failure because of my pregnancy and was told more isn’t an option. It’s been a tough journey

I have two beautiful kids and am thankful. However, I would have liked to have more. I had pretty severe post partum anxiety and extremely high blood pressure. It took awhile for those issues to resolve with treatment, and we didn’t have any more kids. I’m still sad about it sometimes and it’s ok. It’s ok for you, too. Hugs.

I can totally understand that feeling! I have a wonderful son who us a thriving adult. But my family is not how I thought it would be. I have never been married. I feel blessed for my son, my parents and extended family but sometimes that love is just not quite enough. I will pray for all feeling pain like this. You said it correctly pain is pain it is not for us to judge if the pain is valid or real.

I always wanted 4 or 5 kids. Looking back, I am lucky (like you) I have the two I have. I have had 4 miscarriages. But between me and my new husband we have 6 and having our 4th grandbaby in January.
