I lived in San Antonio during my teen years. And in high school I worked at Taco Cabana on Perrin Beitel. Iykyk. I was the tortilla girl and I remember making beans. Now, this was longer ago than I care to admit, but I have been chasing those beans since. Trying to find the right recipe. I hope this is it.

I made your Spanish rice the other day and it was the first time I didn’t have char on the bottom! Not gunna lie it was hard not to lift the lid but I trusted you and it was really good. So nice to have actual instructions vs my grandmothers less than specific instructions 😆
