Vanair is the air compressor that’s under the truck. The controller is on the passenger side and the diagnostic port that was disconnected on the driver side needs to be connected in order to have power to your Van air controller on the passenger side. There is a good chance there is a generator attached to the air compressor underneath.

cabinet w/the key stock is where the jackhammer was. cabinet below the crane was a honda suitcase generator and the electronics on the floor is probably the stfobe package and the vanair controller is the aircompressor

That’s a “rocket locker” some of them integrate with the vehicles J plug and monitors everything the truck is doing and also provides internet access for the operator. We used to install them in a large power companies like trucks.
