@turtlehospital: A ginormous sea turtle was found struggling at sea off Key West this evening. The 270 pound plus female loggerhead sea turtle is estimated to be 70-80 years old. Please send prayers and healing energies for “Timmy”as she is treated at The Turtle Hospital 🐢❤️‍🩹 Rescuing a large sea turtle like Timmy takes teamwork. The boaters stayed with her until the U.S. Coast Guard arrived, making it possible for her to be brought to the hospital. Sadly, many reported turtles are never relocated because they aren’t monitored until help arrives.
