My mom lied about having a heart condition and was put on medication (that she didn’t need) that ended up giving her seizures as a side effect - she kept telling me they weren’t seizures, they were episodes where blood clots would get stuck in her brain, and it was my fault and any day she’d die. I was too young to research and know for myself, but that fucked me up so badly. She only stopped taking the medication when her health insurance flagged she was taking meds for a condition she hadn’t registered and it created a whole lot of drama. Then suddenly she was fine, no more seizures, no more threat of death, pretended like it never happened

when I was younger and me and my brother was misbehaving she started screaming at us and she pretended to faint on the couch, the reason why I said she was pretending is because when me and my brother rightfully started panicking he said he was gonna call 911, and she coincidentally woke up and told my brother not to call 911 that she was fine and act liked nothing happened. ever since this happened I don't trust her whenever she's talking about her medical history

My mother once fell ill and was diagnosed with tuberculosis (as it turned out later, she didn't have it). She turned into a demon, endlessly cursing and blaming my father and me, vocally pitying herself and believing that her immune system was weakened by having to shoulder the burden of the household (she wouldn't even let us set foot in the kitchen or do our own laundry, she was so controlling). We were to blame for everything, from the change in the weather to the milk she accidentally spilled. At the same time, she became devout and bought icons to pray to. But her prayers were interspersed with terrifying curses directed at these icons; she'd scream, "Fucking God, go to hell!" and then pray again and light candles. She soon recovered. But I'll always remember that terrible period.

My mother lied to me and told me that my grandmother had early-stage Alzheimer's. She asked me not to tell anyone. Since I was a child, I told my uncles, who were very scared, and in the end, it was a lie.

Yep. She’s currently going about on a mobility scooter claiming she can’t walk but she bought it off marketplace and she’s having a cataract procedure and said she’ll be bed bound for 6 weeks . Every time she uses health as a way of escaping accountability.

my dad have diabetes and he never takes care of it so I force him to eat healthy and take his medicine and he always use it to say that we don't care about him and that we worsening his illness
