As an italian PLEASE learn that the pasta is the last thing you cook, if you cook it before the sauce,the pasta is gonna be slimey and too soft. Water, let it boil, salt, pasta, let it cook for 6 to 12 min it depends on the pasta, strain it and then right in the sauce that was ready before the pasta. Amen.
