Mostly among the Akans who normally have large funerals. We show love when friends are down. Sorrowful situations call for support. We give donations that we call nowadays. Which can be interpreted like insurance. Insurance companies have death policies so does our tradition and custom. We pay when the trouble occurs unlike insure that is paid collectively b4fore the event. Ours is informal but similar purpose. The number of times my parents attended funerals may benefit me and all mu siblings after her death. Ours go much deeper and broader than insurance. The dance and merry making is not jubilation but we bring the bereaved back to the joyful mood before the departure of the loved one,that's why it takes place at the tail end of the fuh4ral when the burial is done. Our elders say whe we mourning, we find a little time to wipe our face and clear our wet nose. Funeral among us could take a lot of space but l hope this is enough for those who misinterpreted and sometimes mock us especially we the Akans that ee are happy when someone dies.

ok let me explain the music is also a type of funeral songs specifically songs played in a grieve moment, in Ghana there are songs been sang by some Ghana musicians this a traditional thing since the inspection of our forefathers then it was more local but now due to westernization these funeral songs are played with systems.
