I looked into this myself and found that the less predictable my buying behaviour became, the harder it seemed to fit me into a neat box. For example, I might fill a basket convinced I'm going to buy it, then leave it for days and later realise I don't actually need it. It made me wonder: if companies are buying predictions about me, what happens when those predictions keep being wrong? Does the value of my data go down? Or do I start getting better offers and prices in an attempt to make my behaviour more predictable again?

In Denmark too! Me and my friend discovered this on the Expresso house app when we were getting drinks together. We both had a voucher for matcha in the app, mine was like 5% off and hers 20%off because I always buy matcha

Because they want the rich to buy often and in larger quantities so charge less now to gain more later

the easiest way to reduce prices is to buy nothing and reduce demand. of course essentials are needed but reduce spending on everything else

it's exactly what was done before price labels . you were served by a shop clerk and based on what you wear you were charged differently
