I know you are a teacher yourself but what are your thoughts on your everyday parents having the skills to able to teach senior Maths or Chemistry, for example. Do students switch to distance ed to be taught by actual teachers?

Also just because we want to homeschool now doesnt mean they can't go mainstream school later ( high school).

might be different now, but I homeschooled for high school through a distance education school and was eligible for an OP (now known as ATAR) - so depends on the homeschool curriculum 😉

I’ve also seen some universities online allow homeschool kids to enrol in effectively bridging courses while they’re still in year 11-12

I mean I went to year 12 in a mainstream school, got a very low UAI (which is now called ATAR), then 12 years later I did a pathway program to get marks to gain me entry into uni. There’s always many pathways to get into uni so it’s not a strictly necessary thing to have to get an ATAR at the end of high school
