Had a customer once ask for cold fries and would not specify if they wanted us to like...cook them and leave them to sit and get cold, or if they wanted the frozen fries completely uncooked??? They didn't get either because kitchen said "not my problem" and frankly...yeah...yeah

I’ve worked for service so I feel all of this on a visceral level. But also, I just laughed uncontrollably at Caesar salad no lettuce. So did they want croutons, cheese and dressing? 😂

The salmon one I know well. They want it well done (no raw, pink, or juice to the meat) but not blackened, which is a whole separate cooking method and usually listed as Blackened Salmon, BUT also with no dry or crispy edges. I've found the way the want it cooked is that they want it STEAMED to a well done state 😭 I've never worked a restaurant that steams their fish, it's always been a flat grill or pan fried.
