Enjoy your parents while you still have them here! Once they're gone you have the rest of your life to live by yourself!...

Don’t be dramatic, you didn’t take 5 steps back in life, it’s just a stepping stone nothing to be ashamed about

I mean… never take advantage. Work two jobs and save money for house or go back to school. If you are not trying to improve yes your going 5 steps

It will get better! I moved in a year ago and the first few months were the hardest especially cus you don’t see the benefits asap but give it time and your intuition will prove your decision right

Seen multiple people post this but not explaining. Are they giving you rules? Are they telling you can’t go anywhere?

i left my parents house at 17 and made an agreement i would never go back home and never did. I held a few jobs and roommates just to avoid that. I'm not a hater if you can do it and have to than understand but damn i couldn't do it. In fact now as i'm older i won't even sleep over their house. i stay at a local hotel.

came back to my pops at 31 after leaving at 17 . f it i need the leg up . saved enough to quit my job and live off my saving while I go to school. mentally hard yes he can be a narcissist dick and is very messy but the lil bit of bill money he asks for sure beats the 900$ half your rent with roommate out there

Awh this makes me so sad. Me and my mom live together and I can’t imagine it any other way. She treats me like a best friend however. She doesn’t hover, ask where im going ect. It’s my house too if I want to invite friends/ a guy im dating over ect I can because I’m an adult. It’s sad to me that once your an adult other parents don’t take a step back ect. My mom wants me to be here and wants to have open arms where I can talk about anything and she won’t judge me. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Only way I’m not going to live together with her is when I find a life partner
