I told my son to make sure he can provide before he gets a family. And so he did. At 34, he finally got married and my grandson is 2. His wife works if she wants to.. I encourage her to get an education.. ✌️

I would say that's dependent on age. If you're in your 20's-30's, are in college and/or are working then most people that age usually don't expect each other to be fully established in life. Now, if you're 30+, it can be a red flag if someone doesn't have their life situated. I'm 51, I date men my age, and I would not date a man who isn't established. I understand folks can fall on hard times but if you(collective you) are going through trials and tribulations, it may be best to put dating on hold until you get your life situated.
