I remember this, he confiscated meth from a drug dealer. He decided to use in the restroom and the meth was laced with fent. Lucky his partners found him and administered Narcan.

This is such a horrible story. He got high, OD’d quit/got thrown off the force to then end up killing his own son and then the cops kill him after he fled. 😞

I’m a substance abuse counselor at a methadone clinic. You cannot OD from touching fentanyl. You can’t even get high from it unless you maybe touch your eyes or the inside of your mouth after. Spreading that misinformation actually kills people because it makes people too scared to help during an overdose. That misinformation has been spread by the DEA itself as a part of stigmatizing drug use. Drug users also do not clean their needles in public toilet paper rolls btw.

This is actually a couple years old, and he didn’t “accidentally touch” it, he was actively doing drugs on duty. It was meth he had taken from a dealer that day (after arresting him) and was using it

The propaganda right here you cannot get a fentanyl exposure by touching fentanyl. You can’t get it by inhaling fentanyl. You have to have it at a certain temperature to smoke it and you have to actually snort it in powder form. It cannot just be a little ooh. I touched it and now I’m overdose and aside from that if you look at the video, he has a pipe on the ground cops get high. It’s very common that cops have an issue with drug addiction just like other humans.

UPDATE: You can see the torch in one hand and the pip on the floor on the other side. He was confiscating drugs then taking them for his personal use. He was fired, but then it came to attention he stabbed his 11 yr old son and then he took was shot to death by police. All around awful.
