I mean, nuance def exists, I literally bleed nearly everyday since childhood bc of what happened to me and contie to struggle to find somewhere I fit sexual wise. But I also enjoy things like CNC and reading fiction of things I had happen and talking to people who enjoy that fiction regardless of their usage of it. It's best to protect your own space and handle your trauma in the way that's best for you and recommended to recover (if that's your end goal) I also don't think we should try to erase the fact that trauma and kinks can be heavily from the same place in the mind. Honestly some really interesting studies on it ngl

And equally it’s also helped many sa survivors. Most of the fandom is sa survivors themselves. This has been taken too far to the point ive seen people receive rape and death threats just for saying they are exited for the movie. There are so so so many trigger warnings you have ample time to realise ‘you know what, maybe this is not for me’ and put the book DOWN. You do not get to claim you support all victims then shit on those who cope differently to your expectations of how they should. There are so many articles on how as victims develop cnc kinks (about 3:4 btw do) and how controlled environments like a book that contains these topics is really beneficial for some to process their trauma and find closure. Zade is not supposed to be a good person. He was never supposed to be that. We only like him because he shows an alternate ending and the flipped side to something that is so horrendous and traumatic. Dark romance wa made to turn something used against women for us instead. So please stop blaming us for the actions of men and put your energy into taking down actually harmful things like the manospher which is actively producing rapists.
