@joannafleming13: I see an average of ~100 clients a month (that’s a lot of different skins) so I have plenty of thoughts and feelings 😂 #dermaltherapist #skincareexpert #skincareingredients #skincaremistakes #skincareconsultation
its so refreshing hearing someone say vitamin c is not for everyone. I tried for so many years to keep introducing vitamin c but it just always irratated my skin. I also felt it fake tanned my face and thats what gave the 'glowing' affect.

Do you have a list of recommended clinics in melb? It’s so overwhelming, and I’m wary of dodgy clinics

Yes!! I’ve always been sensitive to vitamin c but always wanted to give it a chance. Azelaic acid has been wayyy better. I was thinking asking the doctor for tretinoin but maybe I should start with an over the counter retinol first.

Do you have any recommendations for clinics in Sydney or Canberra that you’d recommend for skin laser treatments?

Agree totally with Vitamin C!!! Not for an inflamed skin. And definitely skin needling is not the only treatment option!

What do you suggest for broken capillaries/red veins around the nostrils? I’ve tried laser genesis about 4 times a year for a couple years but haven’t maintained

I love this! Being a skin scientist first and then a dermal clinician who now has a clinic of their own I could not agree more! I feel people get a good result from needling a handful of times and then that’s all they do. Skin is different for every patient and presents differently every day and session. We need to customise for the individual on their presentation ❤️

Agree 100% - I do find that with reactive skins my preferred vitamin C is tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate but other than that generally also recommend avoiding.

I am pretty sensitive and prone to redness and I have to say the Medik8 C Tetra (their lowest strength) feels really lovely and not at all irritating. I'm going to try their next step up and see how it goes.
