I grew up in a family where everyone was at each other's throat. dad was always yelling at mom, mom would chase him apologizing. granted it was be cause of my grandma overstepping her bounds but maybe if he would have kept a job we could have moved out if her house. aunts and uncles screaming at each other. cousins didnt get along. now im in a relationship with kids at 40 years old. my son knows only love. no yelling, no screaming. even when finances get rough. hes always smiling laughing hugging etc. break the cycle. show love and nurturing

As someone who grew up seeing my father get repeatedly pushed away by my mother for trying to be affectionate. I absolutely want my children to know what a strong, healthy, loving relationship looks like💚

just say I want to be like Chalkys wife I stress to my guy friends..Continue to court your wife like when you were dating... surprise flowers and lil gifts ...long back rubs with out sex attached..wash and gas up her car with out her knowledge.. hand wash her coffee cups and coffee maker....scrub her bathroom... if you lift her up ...your life will improve 10 fold ...we are on year 23 with 3 kids in 4 years ..my girl has been a SAHM since she was 40 .. and if Im alive she will never punch a clock again...my dad and mom were abusive and horrid people ..they did teach me how NOT to do things....When I talk to my kids about her I say she is the smartest kindest most beautiful woman on the planet...my Dad would say " your mom doesn't know shit about shit"
