@magicmoneytips: 🚨 Mortgage rate update for UK homeowners and buyers! Today, Monday 20th July, a number of major UK mortgage lenders have announced increases to some of their mortgage rates. Lenders reported as making changes include HSBC, Halifax, Barclays, The Co-operative Bank, Coventry Building Society and Skipton Building Society. If you’re currently buying a home, remortgaging, or your fixed-rate deal is coming to an end, now is the time to review your mortgage options. Even a small increase in interest rates can have a significant impact on your monthly repayments over the life of your mortgage. Don’t assume the rate you were looking at last week is still available today. Check whether your lender has changed its pricing and, if you’re unsure of your options, speak to a qualified mortgage adviser as soon as possible. Acting quickly could help you secure a more suitable deal before further changes happen. Stay informed, protect your finances, and always make decisions based on professional mortgage advice. #Mortgage #InterestRates #Remortgage #HomeBuying #FinancialEducation

I’d secured a 4.63% 2-year fixed term and then noticed a week or so later it had dropped to 4.52% so cancelled the first option and signed up to that one. The next day it went up to 4.64% and is now 4.78%!! Lucky timing 😳

Also no point in a mortgage anymore we don’t own our houses anyway the banks do. Unless your in a good enough position to be able to pay off your mortgage early
