It’s crazy how many people have asked me for this recipe since I first shared it 😂 so here it is… 🦷 Around 18 months ago, I was in constant pain with my wisdom teeth and was told they needed to come out. But wisdom teeth contain dental pulp, which can be a source of stem cells that are being studied for their potential in regenerative medicine, so I wanted to explore every option before having mine removed. That sent me down a rabbit hole of researching oral health and what we’re unknowingly putting in our mouths every single day. I started making my own toothpaste, and this is the recipe I’ve been using ever since. My toothpaste recipe: • 2 tbsp food-grade bentonite clay (I’d run out, so the tub shown in the video was just for reference • 2 tbsp kaolin clay • 1 tbsp baking soda • 1 tbsp coconut oil • 15 drops peppermint essential oil • 2–4 tbsp water — add gradually until you get the consistency you want Mix everything together and store in a glass jar. 18 months later, touch wood, I still have all four wisdom teeth and haven’t had the pain I was experiencing before. I’m not saying toothpaste magically fixed my wisdom teeth, and this isn’t medical advice — I’m simply sharing what I changed and what has worked for me.
