David Greggory Pritchard was arrested on November 3, 2026, following a months long online investigation by the Decatur Police Criminal Investigation Division. The investigation began on July 13, 2026, when local detectives received a cyber-tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) regarding an account on the Kik social messaging app that was uploading (CSAM). After obtaining a search warrant for the Kik account records, detectives identified Pritchard as the owner, confirmed the presence of illicit files, and traced the account's digital footprint to his physical residence via its IP address. Law enforcement subsequently raided his home, took him into custody, and booked him into the Morgan County Jail on an $80,000 bond, charging him with one count of possession with intent to disseminate CSAM and one count of dissemination of CSAM. This is not Pritchard's first encounter with law enforcement regarding this type of offense, as he faces a prior history of identical activity. In December 2019, Pritchard was arrested by Decatur Police on five counts of possession of CSAM.
