I created an LLC for myself. If I have a job I don’t want, I just fill in my time with my LLC that I signed NDA for and can’t speak on. I’ve never gotten a job when I need one .

As someone who has had 5 jobs in 3 years, and currently negotiating salary for a 6th job, just do whatever you want. No interviewer has ever questioned why I had so many jobs. I quit jobs to make more money at the next job.

I just put the years on my resumé instead of specifying months. No one ever asks. So I had job A 2021-2024 and job B 2024-2026 and know one needs to know about my summer of unemployment in 2024. I did it again this year and will be doing next summer as well 😌

This wouldn't be an issue if we adopted European vacation rules. Remove at will employment and an actual minimum amount of vacation time. Stop treating employees like they owe you everything just to work.
