My anxiety dropped when 12 other moms sent me hugs at 3:33am 🌙💛 That sentence probably sounds strange if you’ve never experienced postpartum. How could a few strangers sending digital hugs actually make anxiety feel better? But if you’ve ever sat awake in a dark nursery at 3:33am, you understand. Because anxiety in motherhood rarely happens in the middle of the day. It happens in the quiet. When the house is asleep. When the baby won’t settle. When you’ve only slept two hours. When Google tells you twenty different things. When your thoughts start getting louder than reality. You begin asking yourself questions that don’t have easy answers. Am I doing enough? Why am I so worried all the time? Why does this feel harder than I expected? Why can’t I stop thinking about everything that could go wrong? And maybe the question that hurts the most: Why does it feel like I’m the only one struggling? The truth is that anxiety loves isolation. It loves dark rooms. It loves silence. It loves convincing exhausted moms that everyone else is handling motherhood better. That everyone else’s babies sleep. That everyone else feels confident. That everyone else somehow knows exactly what they’re doing. Meanwhile you’re sitting in a rocking chair wondering why your chest feels tight and why you can’t turn your brain off. I think so many moms carry that anxiety quietly. Because we’re afraid to say it out loud. We’re afraid someone will think we’re ungrateful. Or dramatic. Or bad mothers. So instead we keep it to ourselves. We smile during the day. We answer “I’m good” when people ask. And then at 3:33am we’re alone with thoughts we’ve never told anyone. That’s why connection matters so much 🤍 Not because it fixes anxiety. Not because it magically makes the hard nights disappear. But because it interrupts the lie that you’re alone. The lie that you’re the only one awake. The lie that nobody understands. Imagine sitting in a dark room believing you’re completely by yourself. Then suddenly twelve people show up and say: “I’m awake too.” “I understand.” “I’ve had nights like this.” “You’re doing okay.” That changes something. Your circumstances might stay exactly the same. The baby may still wake up again. You may still be exhausted. But your nervous system suddenly realizes: I’m not carrying this completely alone. And maybe that’s something we don’t talk about enough. Sometimes support isn’t advice. It isn’t solutions. It isn’t someone telling you how to sleep train or feed your baby. Sometimes support is simply another person saying: “I see you.” “I’ve been there.” “You aren’t crazy.” Because postpartum anxiety can make you feel incredibly isolated. The thoughts become bigger. The fears become louder. The nights become longer. But there are moms everywhere experiencing those same feelings. The mom feeding her baby in another state. The mom pumping at 2am. The mom walking circles around her kitchen. The mom scrolling because she desperately needs to know somebody else exists at this hour. All of them trying their best. All of them carrying more than most people realize. And all of them probably needing the same thing: Reassurance. Connection. Someone who understands. So if you’ve ever sat awake with a racing mind while your baby slept on your chest… If you’ve ever wondered why motherhood feels heavier than you expected… If you’ve ever felt guilty for struggling… Please hear this: There is nothing wrong with you. You are not failing. You are not weak. You are tired. You are overwhelmed. You are carrying a tremendous amount. And there are so many other moms carrying it too. Sometimes twelve strangers sending hugs at 3:33am doesn’t solve the problem. But sometimes it reminds you of something even more important. You don’t have to carry it all by yourself. 🌙💛✨ #mom #baby #MomsofTikTok #momtok #momlife
