I’m turning a GIANT skeleton into a GIANT Jesus! 🙌 This oversized DIY Christian art project is part sculpture, part giant decor, and part giant creative experiment. Now I have a decision to make: should Jesus have blue eyes or brown eyes? The original giant skeleton came with animated proximity-sensor eyes that turn on and move when someone walks by. They’re honestly really cool but they’re blue and reprogramming the existing LCD eye system is outside my skill set and doesn’t seem especially practical. My instinct is brown eyes with darker skin, so one option is to cover the animated eyes completely and hand-paint brown eyes instead. The tradeoff is losing one of the coolest interactive features of the original skeleton. I’ve also considered trying a tinted transparency over the screens, finding replacement LCD eyes with brown irises, or even buying another prop with animated brown eyes and salvaging the electronics but at some point I have to ask whether I’m creating a solution or just creating a much bigger engineering problem. 😂 So what would you do? Keep the animated blue eyes, cover them and paint brown eyes, or is there another option I’m not thinking of?
