In an ideal world, all men respect women and treat them right. Unfortunately, a father cannot go around teaching that to all men 1 by 1. They can only act on what is within their control. Being strict, can be seen as a form of protection to the father just as much as it may seem like he wants to 'control' her, in the daughter's pov. Both can be true at the same time. At the end of the day, just rmb that even our parents are still learning how to live life/be a parent for the first time just like all of us. Show them some grace, life will be better for all parties
