I hate the discourse of "she knew who she married". If you watched the show (not just clips on tiktok) you know that Carmela herself struggles with this very thing. When she talks to the priest, or her shrink, she admits she's able to turn a blind eye on Tony's job because it pays the bills, and because she wanted that life. That doesn't change the fact that she did love Tony. When he's fighting death, it was Carmela by his side- not his wh0res. She's the mother of his children, and she was the only one doing the parenting. She's was his wife, and she was a good one. As Melfi said, she's the only good woman Tony ever chose. Unlike Tony, who didn't honor their marriage vows, disrespected her, lied, was a shit dad. So yes, she knew who she married. But she was essentially alone in the marriage.
