@shafiul912: Seeing some Argentina fans crying as if they lost a family member was heartbreaking. Even more worrying were those calling Messi their "father." Football is just a game. Admiring a player's talent is one thing, but raising anyone to a level of devotion that belongs only to Allah is a dangerous path. No footballer is your father. No celebrity deserves the love, loyalty, or emotional attachment that should belong to your Creator. As Muslims, our identity is Islam before any club, country, or player. We should never let sports make us forget our dignity, our faith, or our priorities. May Allah ﷻ grant us hidayah, protect our hearts from excessive attachment to this dunya, and keep our love for Him above everything else. Ameen. "Indeed, the believers are but brothers." (Qur'an 49:10) Football will end. Fame will fade. Every player will return to Allah. So will we. Let's make sure our hearts are attached to the One who never disappoints.
