Freaking historical lies! EKO was named by Yoruba dialect speakers. Even the Olukumi people in Delta have EKO EFUN. Oba Ado was only related to the Oba of Benin through his mother's lineage. The Awori were never Benin people. Historical traditions consistently state that the Benin came to Lagos and met the Awori already there. Awori is a Yoruba dialect, not a Benin mixture. Ironically, the Benin language itself contains substantial Yoruba influence. 🤣
