My daughter is officially 1 week old today. Since day 3 she HATES the swaddle. She will kick and grunt and fight to get her arms out where she then imitates her dad by sleeping with them up by her head and somehow she kicks her feet free to be uncovered because I hate my feet covered 😂

I make my triangle so the hands go inside and when I bring the point to tuck it brings the arm and hand around to midline but hand is closer to face because babies like to touch their face and keeps them from pulling tubes out and that big gap isn't present were they potentially will get cold

A nurse when I had my oldest tried to swaddle him and he broke out. She specifically said "oh honey I've been doing this for 20years, he's not going anywhere" and then before she left the room he had the swaddle mostly open and was right back to fussy. ended up giving up on swaddling him because he hated it and I had to hold his feet for him to fall asleep
