The jacket is meant to protect the cover which is why I leave it on when I’m reading so I…don’t damage the cover.

I always take my dust jacket off when I’m reading. And if it’s damage just find the dust jacket online and reprint it with the correct paper lol that’s what I do 👀it’s not the end of the world lol

A dust jacket blocks almost no dust when the book is stored upright library style. I almost never remove it. My books are meant to be used.
