I went for a job - turns out there were 2 roles. 129 applicants, 14 interviewed only for both jobs to go to people internally 🙄

At this point, we have to wonder if the job market isnt being used for data capture. The responses given are weak and an indication that those running the recruitment prosess do not know the applicants skills in comparison to the vacant role.

Did five interviews for a job once. After interview three I figured I didn't want the job anyway but I still went for the interviews. Got offered the job. Evening before I was to sign the contract I sent them rejection email stating that they had been unsuccessful. They were well pissed.

coming from a sales background, the prep actually kills me. researching the company, the tenets, values, the products i’m expected to sell. i can’t do it anymore, i literally can’t pretend to give a shit anymore

100% of the roles I’ve interviewed for as external have gone to internal candidates….every single one. It’s a waste of everyone’s time and resources - if they want to promote internally there has to be a better way.

Going though the exact same thing, the amount of rejections are laughable. The best one I had was you are not in the preferred location and right to work in the location. Right so living in the UK for a UK isn’t the right to work now. Swear most just send the same email to everyone now
