They show that attitude if you donโt show them respect. If I go as a guest dj, 1st thing I do is show humility & respect to the resident DJ, praise his set if I get to enjoy it. A little gesture, then everything becomes smooth for you. They know the ins & outs of the club, they can help you a lot.
