@leahshomestead: One of my favorite things about beekeeping is that almost nothing goes to waste. After we harvest the honey, we set every sticky frame back out so the bees can clean out every last drop before the frames go back into the hive. It’s amazing to watch thousands of bees work together so efficiently. People often ask if beekeeping is hard. The truth is, most of the year it’s fairly low maintenance. But when honey harvest season comes, it’s an all-day job in the summer heat—heavy lifting, sticky equipment, bee stings, and a whole lot of work.
