IT Manager here: Companies are actually rolling back their Ai use due to cost. It’s cheaper to keep the humans. And also in 10 years all the data centers will be abandoned because technology will expand so a DC the size of a football field today, will fit in a 5x10ft space.

It’s disappointing seeing comments from people who think this is funny or are “cashing in and retiring” as if a collapse will not impact them. Who do you think stocks the grocery shelves, the seeds, repairs cars, brings the petrol to the gas stations, keeps the ERs open, solves crimes, makes clothing, makes medicine….? On and on and on. No amount of money will shield someone from this. When you age and there’s no nurses to push you around in a wheelchair, or wheelchairs for that matter, what will your money buy?
