i only got diagnosed 4 months ago after having my first seizure in January. I've basically stopped living. The constant anxiety of when the next seizure is coming is debilitating 😞

Personally i use a diary app Daylio. Not personalised for seizure tracking but fully personalised activities to add to each entry, and I just track my whole life via this app, since epilepsy has DESTROYED my memory. I’ll never stop recommending Daylio to us epileptic folk, I love being able to search for key words I mentioned/activities when I can’t remember if I did it or whatever. My focal unawares simply erase my memory of that day too, so I can check my diary, see what I’ve been doing that day.

Well, as the spouse of someone diagnosed with epilepsy, I can tell you what my husband stopped doing. He stopped being kind to his wife. He’s on Keppra. He’s gone from a gentle even tempered, lovely man and my spouse 25 years, into an unrecognizable monster. Why is the drug even on the market? I know only 15% of people experienced these dire effects, but my God, they are unsustainable. And I have had to shut down my heart. Like a steel cage. Lots of changes. 🥺
