@banyantreatmentcenter: By 21, addiction had completely taken over his life. When he finally entered treatment, he quickly learned something many people in early recovery experience: addiction doesn't give up without a fight. As the withdrawal symptoms began to ease, his mind started telling him he was okay. That he wasn't "that bad." That he didn't need treatment after all. So he left. And he used again. It's a reminder that one of the hardest parts of recovery isn't always getting into treatment, it's staying long enough to let the healing begin. Addiction has a way of convincing people they don't need help, even when they need it most. Recovery isn't weakness. Staying and doing the work takes courage. #RecoveryIsPossible #AddictionRecovery #SobrietyJourney #RecoveryAwareness
