This was such a fascinating lesson for me. I don’t resent others who don’t support or celebrate me, I don’t judge. But someone said imagine how tough or how difficult a place they must be in themselves or in their head where they can’t do something for you, even from an intention perspective. I found myself empathising with them as opposed to being concerned for why they didn’t support me.

I agree that sometimes people who can't support others are insecure and miserable (struggling themselves) I know because I was that person in survival mode. But I also think sometimes friends don't realise someone is miserable and struggling because they're caught up in their own happiness. It can be a sad misunderstanding on both sides 💛
